Over the summer holidays it has been great to see Scots Tennis grow and develop.
During this period we have had all Scots Tennis coaches attend coaching clinics and conferences both in Sydney and Melbourne, gaining valuable insight from tennis legends such as Darren Cahill, Tony Roche, Pat Rafter, Paul Annacone and Nick Bolletieri.
As a program we have had a record number of boys competing in NSW and Tennis Australia tournaments with some outstanding results.
Adam Malouf recently competed well and was victorious in the consolation final of the NSTA Open, Sydney. Adam played some exceptional tennis and showed his status as a player to watch out for. Congratulations to Adam and we look forward to his continued effort!
After gaining selection into the NSW 13U state team late last year to compete at the National Championships (Melbourne Showdown) held at the National Tennis Centre, Christian Waked performed exceptionally well in representing NSW and Scots. Christian played against the best 13U boys in Australia as well as from China, New Zealand and across Asia. Christian finished as the number 1 NSW player within the tournament and finished 5th overall at Nationals. Congratulations to Christian on a successful championships and we look forward to his bright future.
Lastly We have had a success run of camps during the holidays with both the Prep and Senior programs completing camps during the break. Scots Tennis held it’s first ever live-in camp at Scots during this week and given the level of commitment displayed, we are all looking forward to the continuation within our development of all players during 2015. I look forward to the up and coming tennis season after such a success holiday period.
Scots to the Fore!
