With the growing football culture developing at Scots, talented midfielder/defender and year 10 student Tass Mourdoukoutas has been recognized for his commitment and hard work to the sport he loves by being selected as captain for the combined Under 15’s and 16’s NSW/ACT Institute squad that recently took part in a tournament in South Korea. There were very high calibre teams that competed including the likes of; Tottenham (who won the tournament), Athletic Bilbao, FC Barcelona and Borussia Dortmund.

Coached by Craig Foster (ex Socceroo and Crystal Palace midfielder), the team played well and played some quality football although finishing 11th out of 13 teams, whilst still regarding the quality of teams that they were competing against. Tass managed to pick up a goal in his last game of the tournament in his teams 3-0 win over the Thailand U-15’s National Team.
Tass had a great tournament and really relished the opportunity that he had been given and experience that he gained playing against youth teams at the top level.

We look forward to seeing what Tass can achieve next season for the Scots 1XI team and will be one to watch over the coming years.
