What a fantastic month of football it has been. Now that the world cup is over I am hopeful that our Scots boys can emulate their heroes on the pitch for the remainder of the season.
During the last week of the holidays over eighty-five footballers participated in the Sydney FC football clinic. Of those eighty-five, seventy of them were Scots boys. The clinic allowed our boys the opportunity to meet and be coached by some of Sydney FC’s players and coaching staff.
The clinic ran from 9:00am until 3:00pm across three consecutive days. During that time our boys participated in skill sessions and drills that were developed by Sydney FC coaching staff and align with the national curriculum. These sessions were not only very valuable in regards to player development they were also extremely enjoyable and the feedback from all involved was very positive.
Congratulations to all our Scots boys who attended the clinic, the effort you applied across all three days was outstanding and I look forward to seeing you apply your new skills during the remainder of the season.
I would like to thank the Sydney FC and Scots coaches that were involved in hosting such an enjoyable camp. I would urge all footballers that are keen to improve, to get involved next time Sydney FC host another clinic.
