Cross Country State Champions

Eleven members of the Scots Cross Country team competed against the best runners in the state at the NSW All-Schools Cross Country Championship on Friday 26th of July 2013. Individual athletes were selected to compete at the Championship as part of the CIS Cross Country team, based on a top ten age group performance at the CIS Championship in June.

The Intermediate boys team were crowned State Champions, as the top scoring team in the Under 16 age group. The team consisted of Matthew Scott, Christian Della-Cioppa, Oliver Lefebvre, Harry Brink, Jack Buckley and Harrison Moss.

The top performer of the day was year 7 Max Freer (pictured) who finished with a bronze medal in the Under 12 Age Group. Matthew Scott finished fourth in the Under 16’s and Joe Mallat finished a strong 11th overall in the Open Boys. Other strong performances included Timothy Spehr, Andrew Richardson and Christian Della-Cioppa.
