Seven Scots athletes have qualified to represent the CIS at the upcoming NSW Cross Country Championship. Leading the way was Matthew Scott with an impressive victory in the Under 16 age group. Max Freer earned a silver medal with a strong performance in the Under 12 age group and senior runner Joe Mallat raced strong to finish with the bronze medal in the Under 18 age group.
Four other runners qualified by finishing in the top ten in their age group. This includes Cameron Fleming(Under 13), Christian Della-Cioppa(Under 16), Tim Spehr(Under 17) and Andrew Richardson(Under 17).
The team will continue with their training throughout the holiday period looking to qualify for the New South Wales team early next term.
