Three of the Scots 1st X1 fast bowlers, Tom Skelly, Nick Kellaway and Jameson Coutts were recently selected in the NSW Under 19’s Cricket Academy. With only 7 quicks selected from all NSW, the Scots College Cricket program should be very proud of this achievements and has once again demonstrated the programs ability at producing talented cricketers, especially in the fast bowling department. All boys were selected after having outstanding seasons for the 1st X1, in which all three of these young quicks dominated their opposition batters at various stages throughout the competition. Tom, Nick and Jameson will now take part in an intensive winter program that will see the boys work on their technical, tactical and physical skills., in the hope of making the final 12 players for the National Championships in early December.
In addition to these selections, year 11 student and fellow 1st X1 fast bowler Henry Thornton, is currently in the middle of trials for the NSW Under 17’s squad. Henry is a tremendous chance of making this squad after his initial trials impressed all selectors. We wish Henry the best.
